Planning life after university



Planning it while on the centre of your journey is as easy as knowing where you are going. The best way to challenge your Life after university can present a number of tough challenges, such as moving to a new location or dealing with (short-term) unemployment. No matter what lies ahead, the destination has to be reached.

We all think that life after university is much better and simple, especially when we think of that fact that there will be no more exams and lecturers on our necks, no grimier student, and no enough money to live on. However, unless we are realistic about this transition then life after university can come fascinating.

Don’t wait until graduation to start your job search, it might sound obvious, but this is a common mistake. Job-hunting is a long process, persevere. In fact, start making your post-career. It takes dedication and ability to commit yourself to work. It’s a door to door knock until one notices that you have the ability to do what is needed.


A resume can only say much, particularly when you don’t have experience. Consider starting a blog, creating a website or making a video to show off your talent. Listing what you can do, isn’t nearly as effective as showcasing those skills with particular examples. Never be afraid to apply high, just because a job has a specific requirement, that doesn’t mean you should never try for it.

Youth for Survival Project Unblocks Community Potential

The Soshanguve Block H, Youth for Survival project started 10years ago by Mma Moshy Mathe who is the founder of the project that aims to provide support to women and children, Grandmothers of Soshanguve Block H have proven that age is just a number. It has been years since they joined the project. They are into sewing, planting crops and body exercises. “Behind the motive of the project the community can be empowered to live a life free from poverty, making them part of a dream achieving and talented society and to allow them partake into the community developments” says Mmabatho Molokomme, the care giver and social worker of Youth for survival. The working environment is not good, but yet they still manage to produce good products and do well. TUT Residence Crisis

Tshwane University of technology Soshanguve Campus students are complaining about their living conditions at the CCT campus residence, students says this issue of poor maintenance has been going on for years and it ended to a point where the 6 th floor of CCT is malfunctioning.   CCT manager Mr Patric Mabuseng explained that since the year started several cases were reported about the issues of the malfunctioning of the elevators, crime rate in the residence and the unhealthy living conditions that students are facing. “The maintenance of the residence is not in my hands but everything is controlled by the management of TUT and those that are in power of TUT.” He said Thando Mguni a resident at CCT says students’ lives are at risk because now the roof is falling down at the last floor and cockroaches as well as rats are coming from the malfunctioning floor to their rooms.
